This is a fantastic lens. It is a professional L-series lens that has been treated with kid-gloves and in showroom condition!
I am moving from professional canon L-series lenses to German Zeiss Prime lenses (need more of them, and they are more expensive, but I'm a bit old-school) and I like to use manual focus...
There is a Mk2 of this lens, this is the Mk1 version, about 2 years old -just before the Mk2 version.
it is a bright f2.8 which means it works great in low light and can focus faster than a non-pro, less-bright lens.
